2.3. Personal Development Plan (PDP)

2.3.1.   What has been learnt from the module?

At the very beginning of my second semester I got chance to study different skills and attributes. On corresponding weeks, the study of various skills and attributes are described below:

An individual feel difficult to know about themself but in the first week of my study I was able to recognise my behaviour and abilities. In this week, I knew about my weakness and the room for improvement. In this module I learnt employability skills. No one know the ability of different person. This module make me learn to work in group and how to optimize the problem related with group. On the corresponding week, I also learnt the importance of group and how a group is better than a team.

At the beginning, no one know the skills hidden in them unless they try it. In the first week, I was provided with a site as www.41q.com to determine the personality that is unfamiliar to me. This site contains 41 questions related about one self which helps to recognise the skills. I tried it and felt very impressive to know about my attitude and personality. In context with relation, I feel I am still not able to make decision for self and other people. I think I pretend to be perfect and responsible for the people around me. But talking about me, I am peace loving, responsible and realistic. I never compromise my work as these things are the best things in my life.

In the following weeks, this module taught me the process to save the environment, the way of talking to others, presenting my ideas and thoughts in front of others. From the beginning, I was aware about participation in different works. So I learned how my participation could be helpful for others. It also helped me to form a better group and bind a mutual relation among the group members. At the stage of reading no one care for the work. But this had been very hard and different to play a given role. As group reflects its meaning i.e. a sum of people working together to achieve the goal, this module also made me learn to play different roles that we perform each day and contribute equally in group.

Critical thinking is commonly called as problem solving. From the study of this module, I have been able to take decision almost by myself. One must be able to think things out of box. Such understanding reduces the problems in life. Whenever we are dealing with human life, we are almost always dealing with thinking. Also, talking about things learnt from this module, I was made prepared to present myself in front of anyone or crowd. I learned to create resume and take interview for job.

At the end, from this module I conclude that it enhances the problems and helps to think differently than others, makes us work in a group, bring our participation to be efficient and leads us to be a professional businessman.

2.3.2. Personal Statement

A.        Response to the feedback

In this module, I got feedback for different works. Reflecting upon the blog works, Mrs. Francisca Tej always suggested me to improve my writing. She always commented me on my writing. From the first blog that I had posted, she recommended me to use same pattern of grammar. Similarly, on the next week work we are supposed to post something about our self to describe self in relation. This writing was very difficult for me but I sketched something and with sketched paragraphs I got chance to ask for the feedback. In this writing she suggested me to write different paragraphs describing each roles and she teaches me about the connection between sentences and paragraphs.

On the alternate week, we were supposed to talk in front of classmates on topic “What we have done to save the environment?” and here she explains my room for improvement. She suggested me to improve my body language and presentation skills. She told how to suppress depression and make weakness the strength. Regarding my relation with friends, she also suggested to form a group and get involved to work together. This totally changed my view of thinking about people, lead me to play different roles and fulfil my responsibilities each day.

Regarding critical analysis the following weeks, I was to take decision on my own for critical things like creating CV and taking an interview which is very difficult. And here she guides me developing self-confidence and presenting my thinking in front of huge mass of people. She told me that once I get over my fear I will keep on moving on the ladder to success. She taught me so many thing in just one module. She made me believe in myself, helped to develop the skills hidden within me, improve my body language and present that skill to people.  

B.        Personal reflection

From this module, I learned so many things like personality development, career orientation, decision making, mass communication and so others. Since it is my second semester, this module taught me to stand for myself even I stand alone in a crowd and speak for myself.

Introduction to Internet	This module is the platform for everything. In this module, I am supposed to create a website with different pages. So this module helps me to learn the use of different web page designing software. Also, in this module I learnt CSS and Java-script to design a professional website.
Hardware and Software Architecture	This module specifies with different types of computer components. In this module, I learnt different hardware and software components. In this module I also learnt connections between devices.
Further Programming	This world is the world of gaming and browsing. This module is based on utilizing different codes for generating a software. In this module, I learnt to write codes in proper way for developing simple software. Also, in this module I learnt java and its application.
Personal Development for Computing	This module is important because we need to know about our self. In this module, I was supposed to learn about my abilities for thinking, abilities for decision making and abilities that I have different than others.

C.        Planning for the future (career, studies, etc.)

As a computing student, our future is completely related to technology and its world. But, if our learning is not in the position to compete others then we can’t achieve our goal whatever we plan for. Career, studies and future are inter-related with each other. As it is the world of technology every individual will be best to find a career in this field.

After my completion of second semester, I am going to take classes on multimedia. At college, my learning is enough to get any job related to web designing and earn for my living in holidays. But knowledge on new topic like multimedia and networking will be helpful to work more effectively, so I plan to join Arena Institute at Jamal from May 18^th. During my holidays I am planning to join a consultancy Arcade IT Solution and have some best designation in web. The knowledge to design a GUI is not completed in college so I am planning to take Java classes in Aryan Institute of Sankhamul from June 10^th if time favors me.

Ultimately, I am planning to access more learning material needed for third semester and from May 10^th, in Eclipse institute at Jamal I am planning to take PHP classes. After taking all these classes it will ultimately help me to understand the modules we will be studying in the upcoming semester. Further I am planning to take classes offered by Microsoft.
